The Vice President/Chief Medical Officer will report to the Hospital President and work closely with the EVP, Chief Physician Executive to lead clinical initiatives focused on enhancing quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and physician and APP satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing credentialing, peer review, length of stay, care coordination, and throughput improvement. The role also involves overseeing patient care metrics, safety initiatives, quality and service excellence, physician and APP leadership development, and clinical information systems implementation.Additionally, the VP/CMO will be responsible for physician and APP relations, medical staff affairs support, and collaborating with the chief of staff on physician performance improvement, peer review, credentialing, and physician recruitment. This position plays a key role in driving performance improvement initiatives, enhancing physician and APP leadership, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in clinical operations, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
