The client is seeking a Vice President of AI / Machine Learning Engineering to help build and deliver production-ready AI-powered products. This role is focused on engineering execution rather than research, with an emphasis on moving from idea to working solution quickly and enabling it to be used by large numbers of end users.
Key responsibilities include leading development across areas such as enterprise chatbots and conversational AI, agent frameworks and workflow automation, text-to-code applications, natural language interfaces for databases, and internal AI productivity tools at large scale. The role will typically require owning end-to-end delivery, from prototyping and implementation through deployment and scaling, while applying strong software engineering and system design fundamentals to production environments.
Candidates should bring strong AI/ML engineering experience with deep understanding of large language models and foundation models, along with experience building applications using LLM APIs. Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and distributed systems is expected, and the ability to operate autonomously and deliver complete solutions is essential. A background in NLP, computer vision, or advanced AI research is highly valued, particularly for candidates who can confidently prototype, build, deploy, and scale full-stack ML product capabilities.
