the client seeks a collaborative, strategic, and transformational leader to serve as the inaugural Vice Dean for Inclusive Excellence. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Medicine, the Vice Dean will strengthen the school’s foundational commitment to academic excellence, economic advancement, and positive health outcomes by partnering with leaders across the school to centralize programmatic initiatives, recruitment efforts, and trainings. This role will help cultivate a culture of well-being and belonging for students, faculty, and staff while expanding collaboration and identifying and reducing barriers that limit positive outcomes.
Guided by the school’s multi-year strategic plan, the Vice Dean will promote well-being and successful academic and clinical outcomes by improving access to employee and student resources, supporting robust faculty and student recruitment programs, and updating curricula and teaching methods. The role is expected to formalize academic and clinical mentoring initiatives and implement consistent training for faculty, students, and staff to increase cohesion across the medical enterprise. The Vice Dean will work closely with leaders of existing programs, mentors, center directors, and student groups to provide consistent, timely, and accessible information and resources that support success for all stakeholders.
