Description

the client is seeking a Division Chief for Advanced GI and General Surgery to provide overall leadership and management of the division. In this role, you will oversee the quality of the division’s clinical and academic programs and supervise faculty across colorectal surgery, hernia, metabolic and bariatric surgery, and general surgery. The division chief is responsible for the appropriate and optimal use of human, financial, space, and other resources to advance the division’s clinical, educational, and research missions.

You will foster an environment that supports faculty development, education, clinical productivity, and scientific excellence, while ensuring the delivery of outstanding clinical care. The role also focuses on ensuring clinical efficiency and helping grow the advanced GI and general surgery division by implementing progressive models of care that support high-quality patient experiences and strong outcomes. You will identify opportunities to strengthen and expand the clinical enterprise and oversee division performance in alignment with the client’s mission and strategic goals.

The successful candidate will be an MD, DO, or MD-PhD, and will hold an associate professor or professor rank. The position requires board certification and medical licensure, or eligibility for medical licensure, in Texas. The division chief will be expected to lead with a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach and cultivate a culture of clinical excellence while supporting the division’s operational and academic objectives.
