Description

The client seeks a US Sales Director for a European jewelry brand with an office in NYC focused on the US domestic market. The role is responsible for developing existing and opening new department store accounts, supporting the brand’s movement from fashion jewelry into fine jewelry, and launching a new silver and gold line.

Key responsibilities include supervising a team of sales representatives managing independent accounts across the US. The Sales Director will lead business development efforts, act as a sales “hunter,” and help strengthen relationships with department store jewelry buyers to grow distribution and performance.

The ideal candidate is a jewelry professional with experience in fine jewelry and strong connections among department store buyers. They should be an effective team manager able to recruit, manage, develop, and motivate sales representatives, with profit-driven leadership that also preserves brand image, along with strong financial and planning skills and solid IT literacy (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). Prior experience in comparable fine jewelry wholesale or national/regional sales leadership roles will be appreciated.
