the client is a global beauty conglomerate with a growing presence across Europe and the US, building and scaling science-driven sunless and suncare brands that also extend into skincare. the US Director of Marketing will help guide the brand through an international growth phase by partnering with the VP of Global Marketing to design and lead marketing strategy for a high-priority sunless and body care brand within the portfolio.

key responsibilities include collaborating with the VP of Global Marketing and the head of Sales to develop strategies for a retail partnership, aligning brand messaging and identity, and securing executive approval for major initiatives through regular brand meetings. the role will lead day-to-day brand marketing operations, overseeing marketing, digital, design, and social efforts, while managing leadership expectations that support team development and succession planning. it will also own marketing calendar execution and social campaign planning to reinforce sales performance and strategy, contributing to global brand partnerships and coordination with Sales to support revenue generation.

the director will develop integrated marketing strategies spanning sampling, events, press, social content, advertising, and other consumer touchpoints. it will maintain strong internal communication across functions, monitor competitive and consumer trends, and identify and manage strategic partner relationships. performance will be tracked through marketing outcomes and relevant sales data, producing reporting and presentations for senior management while continuously evolving strategy; budget oversight is also expected to ensure cost-effectiveness and strong ROI. requirements include senior management-level marketing experience in the beauty industry with an emphasis on bodycare or skincare, proven experience with the retail partner, demonstrated creative and strategic thinking, an analytical and results-driven mindset, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills; prior experience holding roles such as Head of Marketing, VP of Marketing, Marketing Director, Brand Manager, or Brand Director is preferred.
