the client invites applications and nominations for an experienced leader to serve as University Counsel. In this role, you will provide strategic legal leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to senior university decision-makers, supporting the institution’s mission and vision while addressing legal issues that may affect university operations.
University Counsel is responsible for providing legal services, coordinating with the Attorney General, and overseeing outside counsel. You will serve as a primary legal advisor to the President and the Board of Trustees, advising on legal matters and supporting informed decision-making across the institution.
You will work closely and collaboratively with all departments to ensure timely, practical legal guidance. The role includes helping manage legal coordination responsibilities and ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into how the university educates and advises its constituents.
