The Veterans Foundation is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join their Board as Trustees. Founded to provide financial support to military charities and organizations helping veterans and their families, the Foundation has already awarded over 25 million in grants to support over 1,000 life-changing projects. With the Veterans Lottery as their primary funding source, the Foundation is looking to expand their operations and infrastructure to meet increasing demand.
As a Trustee, the role involves shaping the strategic direction of the Foundation, ensuring strong governance and regulatory compliance, and supporting the executive team in delivering their mission. Trustees will also serve on sub-committees such as Finance, Audit & Risk, HR & Remuneration, or Grants. This voluntary role requires a commitment of up to one week per year, including four board meetings annually and virtual sub-committee meetings.
The client is looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting veterans, have experience in areas such as Business and Commercial Leadership, Charity Leadership or Governance, or the Military and Veterans Affairs. Understanding the responsibilities of charity trusteeship and upholding the highest standards of governance are essential.
