The responsibilities of the Trustee will include contributing to the development and oversight of strategic plans, providing input on property-related aspects, and supporting effective governance and risk management. The candidate will be responsible for tracking progress with the organization's strategic plan and guiding it to meet its objectives. The role demands significant experience in property and the built environment sector, a passion for social justice, and familiarity with homelessness support in Ireland. Previous board and charity experience are advantageous, and alignment with the charity's mission and values is crucial.
The candidate must commit sufficient time to the role, attending around 10 online Board meetings annually, including one in-person session, typically held in the evenings. As part of their general Trustee duties, the individual will ensure compliance with the charity's governing document, act in the best interest of the charity, and manage its assets with care and skill. The formation of sub-committees may occur if needed, providing additional opportunities for engagement and influence within the organization.
