The client is seeking to appoint a Trustee to help guide and strengthen the delivery of high-quality public services across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The client collaborates with government departments and service providers, using evidence-based policy and practice informed by research, frontline experience, and community feedback. As a Trustee, you will contribute to The client’s work in formulating, developing, delivering, and evaluating public policies and services, supporting client teams to progress and succeed beyond engagement.
The Trustee role is expected to bring a background or strong interest in entrepreneurship, business management, or social enterprise, along with an ability to apply a perspective spanning Ireland and Northern Ireland. Strong digital media skills are essential to support The client’s engagement and communication efforts. You will provide input to the strategic direction of the organisation, offering insight, oversight, and experience at board meetings and other required commitments, and you will support policy development and implementation as required.
Trustees are expected to comply with the charity’s governing document, ensure the charity operates in line with its charitable purpose for public benefit, act in the best interests of the charity, exercise reasonable care and skill, and manage the charity’s assets. The role is suited to candidates who are highly knowledgeable in the not-for-profit sector, have an interest in The client’s mission and values, and are committed to maintaining strong corporate governance standards. Board meetings are held quarterly in advance of the planned schedule, alongside an annual general meeting, with a combination of in-person and remote participation options.
