The client is a national voluntary organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by eating disorders. Established as a company limited by guarantee (CLG), it operates under the guidance of a voluntary Board of Directors composed of individuals with expertise in relevant fields. The organization's mission is to promote support, awareness, and understanding of eating disorders within the broader community, while advocating for the rights and healthcare needs of affected individuals.
The Board of Directors plays a crucial role in steering the strategic direction and ensuring sound governance and management of the client. Currently, the client is seeking a director with a background in finance and auditing to assume the role of Treasurer. This position involves providing oversight of financial governance and chairing the Finance Subcommittee of the Board. The ideal candidate will have relevant expertise and experience, along with a commitment to the client's mission.
Expressions of interest are welcomed from qualified individuals who are capable of attending approximately 5-6 board meetings and 5-6 finance subcommittee meetings each year. Meetings will vary between in-person and online formats, with board meetings lasting 1.5 hours and subcommittee meetings lasting 1 hour.
