The client is hiring a Trade Marketing Director responsible for communicating and maintaining global brand values and consumer touch points. This role aligns market and brand strategies, provides a clear vision and positioning for the brand, and supports achieving sales and profit targets for the business unit, while acting as a direct contact for commercial and marketing activities and coordinating cross-functional marketing requirements across regions.
The Director plans, develops, and implements localized marketing strategies and innovation plans aligned with global brand objectives, with the goal of increasing brand market share. Responsibilities include managing consumer touch points (such as merchandising, POS execution, and promotions), assortment planning and SKU mix, planogram development for distributors, marketing customer presentations and marketing/innovation calendars, and oversight of creative and POS tool deliverables. The role also supports seasonal planning and event/activation development and execution, creates sales-driving marketing programs, and works with Sales to establish and activate promotional guidelines, including project management for new or renovated counter builds and coordination of related budget and agency activities.
Ownership includes managing A&P spend aligned to P&L objectives, coordinating marketing spend planning and brand budgets with Sales and Marketing, monitoring and adhering to financial targets, and implementing forecasts for innovation and promotions. The Director conducts GM analysis for new products and promotions in line with gross margin requirements, reviews price lists to ensure consistency for distributor offerings, and supports Sales in identifying new distribution and brand opportunities. Additional duties include managing training materials and beauty consultant engagement, overseeing public relations efforts for regions, conducting brand performance analysis and business reviews, using market and competitive insights to make data-informed adjustments, ensuring clients have appropriate tools to optimize sell-out, and building strong client relationships; qualifications include trade or marketing experience for consumer products, promotional CPG program planning and execution experience, strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal), strong computer skills, and knowledge of financial systems as a plus.
