The client is seeking an experienced Technical Director/Director to lead its design engineering practice for complex, large-scale building projects. This strategic role combines design leadership, technical excellence, client engagement, and business development, with responsibility for shaping how multidisciplinary building services projects are delivered.
The Technical Director/Director will provide technical leadership and oversight across building services projects, leading the design and delivery of complex work while ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation. The role will act as a technical authority within an assigned discipline (electrical or mechanical), collaborate with directors and project managers to support strategic growth plans, represent the firm at a senior client level, and help advance sustainability and industry standard adherence.
Candidates are expected to hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field), with professional engineering accreditation preferred. Experience is typically expected to include at least 10 years in building services design focused on large-scale, complex projects, along with demonstrated leadership in technical delivery and team management, a strong project portfolio that may include healthcare, mission-critical facilities such as data centers, and high-rise developments, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
