The client is seeking a Tax Director for the Americas to lead all regional tax matters across the U.S. and Latin America. The role will own Americas tax strategy and operations, serving as a go-to tax partner for finance, operations, and commercial teams by providing real-time guidance on business decisions, growth initiatives, and tax implications of key initiatives.
Key responsibilities include overseeing U.S. federal and state income tax, tax provision, and compliance, as well as managing sales and use tax across multiple states and entities. The role will also cover important international tax areas, including BEAT, FDII, and transfer pricing, and will drive tax transformation through transitioning compliance work in-house, supported by automation, process improvement, and modernization of reporting, forecasting, and tax infrastructure.
The Tax Director will manage audit, risk, and external relationships by leading interactions with U.S. and international tax authorities and improving ROI on external advisor partnerships. The role will strengthen controls, governance, and audit readiness, and will develop and lead a high-performing tax team while partnering with regional financial leadership and global tax leadership to align long-term strategy with business growth and integrate Latin America operations into a unified approach. Qualifications include 10+ years of progressive tax experience with U.S. federal, state, and local taxation; exposure to Latin America tax regimes strongly preferred; experience with income tax provision and indirect tax; demonstrated experience in transformation and in-sourcing; and proven leadership in team development, with CPA, JD, or LLM (Tax) preferred.
