the client is seeking an SVP/VP, Head of Commercial for EMEA & Africa to support its accelerated growth and international expansion. Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will hold full P&L responsibility across EMEA & Africa and will shape the organization’s commercial direction, with a focus on innovation, premium fan engagement, and sustainable market growth. The position includes leadership responsibility across partnership sales, licensing, and broader commercial strategy.
The SVP/VP – Head of Commercial will define and deliver a new commercial strategy, with an emphasis on new business development and partnership growth. As a standalone leadership role, the individual will oversee partnership management and ensure a client-centric approach that supports best-in-class account management, strong partner satisfaction, and high renewal rates. Success will be measured through new business growth, reduced partner attrition, minimizing regional conflict, and the ability to secure and grow significant multi-year partnerships.
Key responsibilities include driving partnership sales and revenue generation across the client’s portfolio of events, media, digital platforms, and branded content; owning annual revenue targets and strategic plans; and leading the full partnership sales lifecycle from prospecting and pipeline development through negotiation and contract execution. The role will also involve identifying strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and licensing opportunities with global and regional brands, managing and renewing existing marketing partners, developing account plans for retention and incremental revenue, and working to surface upsell opportunities. The role is expected to be based in London with regular travel.
