the client is a respected public-sector organization in banking and financial services, operating with a focus on impactful projects that shape the financial landscape. The client is seeking a Structured Financial Institutions Funding Director within its investment arm to help deliver funding solutions to non-bank lenders and support SME credit markets.
This broad, senior role will focus on structuring, modelling, and executing structured financial transactions, working closely with senior leadership on origination. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end execution across structured transactions (typically ranging from about £5m to £50m+), analysing underlying credit risk and building robust cash flow models, and investing across public ABS, asset-backed finance, and private securitisation. The role also involves working across the capital structure with an emphasis on mezzanine and junior tranches, supporting the development of new structures, products, and funding solutions, and managing transaction risk, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
The successful applicant will be an experienced structured finance professional with a buy-side or principal investing background, ideally from a credit fund or similar platform. The role is expected to draw on strong credit analysis and cash flow modelling skills, proven execution of structured finance transactions, and relevant exposure to ABS/asset-backed finance and private securitisation or related structures such as block funding or securitisation risk transfer-type frameworks. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong commercial judgement across different asset classes and hands-on investing experience, including capability across both smaller, more complex transactions and larger public ABS.
