The client is expanding its Accelerator program across multiple countries and is seeking a Strategy & Operations Director to lead the venture, beginning with Dubai in 2024. This role will set up, create, and manage the Accelerator operationally while overseeing day-to-day operations and supporting marketing and expansion efforts for portfolio projects. The position is expected to represent the client at industry events and conferences and to lead business development initiatives, including the creation of sales materials.
Key responsibilities include hiring and building a high-performing team to support program delivery; developing and implementing operational processes and program structures; scaling the Accelerator to new regions by establishing country franchises; and ensuring the ongoing development and maintenance of clear processes and a strong outward-facing presence across product, website, and social media. The director will also manage business development activities, lead the business development team, and focus on securing quality opportunities for portfolio companies.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA preferred; at least five years of experience in the startup accelerator industry, ideally with some blockchain exposure; and a strong understanding of accelerator operations, steps, structure, and business model. The role requires a proven track record in launching and running accelerator programs, exceptional leadership and communication skills, strong business acumen and strategic thinking, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Travel and work across multiple countries are expected as needed.
