the client is seeking an experienced operator with a strong, well-rounded business skill set to support and accelerate early-stage portfolio companies and to help manage and optimize internal firm operations. The role will involve tackling both day-to-day operational challenges and larger initiatives aimed at sustaining and building the organization’s brand presence in blockchain and cryptocurrency. The ideal candidate brings organization and discipline, a willingness to try new approaches, and a genuine interest in emerging business models and technologies in this space.
Key responsibilities include engaging with portfolio companies across multiple areas such as weekly KPI tracking, hiring and recruiting, developing early product roadmaps, fundraising support, business development, and marketing and public relations. The role will also lead internal platform initiatives, including building and managing an expert network, facilitating cross-portfolio connections through founder groups, producing recurring network communications, driving firm content marketing, creating educational materials and best practices for founders, negotiating with service providers and vendors for discounts, and owning internal operational workflows. In addition, the position will launch and manage virtual and live events, develop materials for quarterly limited partner updates and present the platform’s value-add overview, and help shape PR, marketing, and branding strategies.
Qualifications include at least 3–5 years of experience in and around startups, particularly in operations, product, business development, or marketing roles, along with strong networking skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple internal and external business lines simultaneously. The candidate should be able to handle a wide range of business challenges independently with a high degree of organization and collaboration. Demonstrated interest in, knowledge of, and passion for blockchain and cryptocurrency are required, and additional qualifications may include an MBA, prior executive operations or chief-of-staff experience at a venture-backed startup, and management consulting experience.
