the client is seeking a Senior Credit Officer to lead credit analysis and administration activities. In this role, you will manage and oversee teams, including responsibilities related to recruitment, development, compensation, and performance management, while helping ensure the organization’s credit decision-making supports strong asset quality and effective credit risk management.
Key responsibilities include setting department financial goals focused on credit quality, volume, and risk distribution; providing recommendations on loan structure, terms, risk rating, and pricing; and presenting loans to internal approval bodies such as a management loan committee and directors loan committee. You will collaborate with credit analysts and commercial lenders to maintain consistent and complete loan presentation content, implement and monitor credit policies and procedures with appropriate controls, and ensure adherence to credit criteria, information guidelines, underwriting requirements, and portfolio performance expectations.
You will prepare and distribute reports on loan quality and growth trends and on portfolio concentrations, review real estate information to assess potential portfolio impacts, delegate assignments to balance workloads and meet customer expectations, and represent the bank in communications with regulators, external loan review, auditors, and other relevant parties. The role is expected to be supported by a bachelor’s degree, at least ten years of commercial banking experience, and ten or more years of progressive leadership experience, along with experience in credit administration, analysis, and risk mitigation with direct credit approval, and supervisory experience across commercial real estate, construction, and commercial and industrial lending.
