Description

The client is seeking a technical assistance and training lead to support direct service providers at sexual assault centers. The role provides technical assistance and training on intervention and response to victim/survivors of sexual abuse, harassment, and assault. The position also supports the development, review, and updating of sexual assault counselor training materials across synchronous and asynchronous virtual and e-learning formats.

Key responsibilities include providing technical assistance to counselors, advocates, therapists, and allied professionals; creating and maintaining resource materials on survivor-centered advocacy and best practices; and monitoring current and emerging issues. The role will facilitate trainings on responding to survivors, including training related to case notes and casefiles, and will support centers through communications and follow-up with rape crisis centers, coalition partners, and other stakeholders regarding legislative and public policy priorities. The client expects the successful candidate to collaborate with internal teams involved in grants and contracts content and to participate in internal committees and committee support structures as appropriate.

This is an on-site role with a hybrid schedule that requires in-office presence two days per week in Harrisburg, PA. There are no supervisory responsibilities. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three to four years of related experience, along with a minimum of 3–5 years of direct service experience supporting survivors of sexual abuse, assault, harassment, and human trafficking. Applicants should have experience with a rape crisis center and/or behavioral health, demonstrated knowledge of adult learning techniques, strong research and analytical abilities, and excellent writing, editing, public speaking, and communication skills; basic computer proficiency (including standard office tools and virtual meeting platforms) is also expected. Preferred qualifications include experience or knowledge related to community education, prevention, and sexual violence issues.
