the client invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations for the role of Senior Vice Provost and Senior Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs (SVP). the client seeks a collaborative, engaging, and innovative leader to support the Office of the Provost and work across the Division of Academic Affairs at a public university. the SVP will contribute to a student-centered learning environment and help build on institutional momentum through strong community partnerships and distinctive academic programming.

The client educates a large and diverse student population through a broad range of academic programs, including online options, with a focus on access and student success. Known for academic excellence and a commitment to civic responsibility, community engagement, and creative expression, the institution is supported by a sizable faculty and staff. The SVP will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for key components of the academic enterprise, including faculty development, academic initiatives, and educational services.

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the SVP serves as a thought-partner and engaged collaborator within the Provost’s leadership team. The role is responsible for leading and managing faculty affairs and overseeing curriculum development and review, while also providing direct supervision of the units of Distance Education and Institutional Effectiveness and Research. The SVP will be expected to lead growth and development across faculty affairs and academic operations, implementing faculty support programs, strengthening academic affairs initiatives, and enhancing institutional effectiveness through data-driven decision-making.
