As a member of the executive leadership team, The client seeks a Senior Vice President of Nursing and Associate Chief Nursing Officer to oversee nursing operations across a large quaternary health system. This leadership role will help set and advance the strategic direction for nursing while ensuring consistently high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and patient-centered care in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
The SVP/Associate Chief Nursing Officer will partner with the Chief Nursing Officer and executive leadership to drive nursing excellence aligned with The client’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate, and culturally competent care. The position leads nursing quality and safety initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and it will strengthen nursing workforce development by fostering belonging, inclusion, and professional growth so nurses feel valued and empowered. The leader will also represent nursing in hospital-wide committees and advocacy efforts, with an emphasis on health equity and support for underserved communities.
Required qualifications include a master’s degree in Nursing or Hospital Administration and an active RN license in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain one). The role requires at least seven years of progressive nursing leadership experience in healthcare, preferably in an urban safety-net hospital or large health system, with prior Associate Chief Nursing Officer or Chief Nursing Officer experience strongly preferred. Additional preferences include expertise in nursing excellence frameworks or programs, as well as certifications such as NEA-BC or CENP.
