Description

The client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) of Federation Fundraising. This newly created role will report to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) within the Development division and oversee the Federation Fundraising team, serving as a primary engine for unifying national and local fundraising efforts and partnering with affiliates to maximize fundraising opportunities in support of the organization’s mission. The SVP will also serve as a key thought partner to the CDO in envisioning and shaping the future of federation fundraising.

The SVP will lead a team of approximately 50 professionals and drive two core strategic priorities: significantly growing fundraising through direct response and digital marketing channels, and reimagining collaborative fundraising across the federation to achieve efficiencies while delivering greater, more consistent value to affiliates of varying sizes. The role will focus on architecting a new, more integrated federation fundraising model that expands revenue and enables effective fundraising practices across the network, supporting sustained investment in access to high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep commitment to the mission and to an inclusive, equitable work environment. The role requires a proven track record of excellence in direct response and digital marketing, with a minimum of 20 years of experience in complex, high-volume marketing technology and fundraising systems, including at least 8 years of leadership experience navigating federated or chapter-based fundraising models. Contribution-based fundraising or nonprofit experience is preferred, along with demonstrated success managing and integrating direct response and digital marketing programs to drive mass-market revenue, and experience leading organizational shifts—particularly in environments similar to federated structures.
