The client is seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Development and Sales to help shape its next phase of growth and transformation. The role will lead strategy, relationship development, and market expansion efforts that support commercial and consumer lending portfolio growth, as well as deposit growth aligned with liquidity needs. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the SVP will set direction, develop market opportunities, and drive measurable growth and mission impact.
The SVP will unify and elevate business development and sales functions by identifying and pursuing new market opportunities, deepening trusted relationships across the relevant ecosystem, and positioning the organization as a mission-driven financial partner. Key responsibilities include developing and executing portfolio growth strategies for commercial and consumer lending (including emerging opportunities across affiliated mission partners), establishing deposit portfolio management approaches, establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with mission and ecumenical partners, overseeing sales efforts to convert lending and deposit opportunities, and partnering cross-functionally with risk owners to support growth within risk appetite and regulatory requirements. The role also includes establishing and monitoring performance indicators for sales pipelines and portfolio management, and reporting performance and impact to executive and governance stakeholders.
In addition, the SVP will lead product innovation by maintaining strategies and processes that keep financial solutions aligned with evolving customer needs and organizational priorities, including developing, monitoring, and refining product and service offerings. The SVP will coordinate closely with internal partners such as Marketing and Operations to support an efficient customer experience, and will foster mentorship and professional development while building a high-performing team with strong alignment and collaboration across critical functions. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, relationship-driven leader with deep experience in sales and business development and in leading business growth within lending and related financial services contexts.
