As the client’s Senior Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain, you will provide executive leadership for global procurement and supply chain strategy, including developing, implementing, and executing a multi-year plan to maximize value. You will drive organizational goal setting, operational steering, and execution to ensure alignment with company-wide objectives, while partnering across regions and functions in a cross-functional environment. This role will be part of the executive leadership team and will report directly to the CEO, leading a global team of just under 100 professionals.
You will ensure sourcing and procurement strategies align with broader organizational goals in collaboration with regional P&L leaders, commercial teams, product development, R&D, and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include aligning quality, delivery, risk assessment, cost, and execution with global strategies, and building strong relationships with R&D and Operations to foster collaboration and innovation. You will also serve as the primary executive relationship lead with global suppliers, driving communication, alignment, and responsiveness across suppliers and internal teams.
Key performance expectations include holding the global team and organization to measurable performance targets, driving cost savings globally, and staying current on industry trends and market indicators. You will lead to a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and learning, while supporting change management and effective problem solving in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a master’s degree preferred, along with significant experience in procurement and supply chain in complex global manufacturing, including leadership of procurement and supply chain teams; experience in automotive, mobility, aerospace, or defense is preferred, and domestic and global travel is expected.
