Description

the client invites nominations and expressions of interest for the role of Senior Vice President for Global Real Estate, Facilities & Campus Development. Reporting to the President, with dotted-line relationships to the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief of Staff, this senior executive position is responsible for planning and overseeing the effective execution of the university’s capital program, including major construction and renovation projects across a global footprint.

The Senior Vice President will lead strategic and visionary efforts to improve, develop, and manage real estate assets, campus planning, sustainability initiatives, and capital programming in alignment with institutional priorities for academic excellence and community engagement. The role will work closely with deans, faculty, senior administrators, and external partners to shape and execute a bold vision for the client’s physical environment.

Key priorities include leading capital strategy and campus planning, overseeing major real estate development initiatives, advancing sustainability priorities, and managing relationships with tenants, community stakeholders, and government entities. The position is expected to maximize lease revenue and drive financially sustainable development while ensuring facilities and infrastructure meet evolving academic, research, medical, and service needs. The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive with 15+ years of relevant real estate development experience, including economic development, facilities, and operations/placemaking, along with a strong track record leading large-scale capital initiatives and managing a multi-functional global real estate portfolio; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, and an advanced degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
