Description

The client invites nominations and applications for the Senior Vice President for Finance and Operational Innovation (SVP). The SVP will be a bold, collaborative leader responsible for helping position the client to serve tomorrow’s learners and advance its mission of educating ethical and socially responsible leaders. As a senior cabinet member and trusted strategic advisor to the President and Board, the SVP will contribute to the client’s commitment to educational excellence, belonging, and global impact.

Reporting to the president, the SVP will lead and oversee human resources, facilities, finance, and campus safety. The role is expected to combine strong strategic thinking with practical execution, including providing clear and accurate data, financial modeling, and risk assessment to evaluate strategic initiatives. The SVP will be an experienced, adaptable leader with demonstrated success in managing and leading a diverse team, using contemporary best practices to drive innovation and organizational change.

Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management or a related field, along with 10+ years of financial leadership experience. The SVP is expected to have experience preparing and managing cash flows, securing and managing financing for capital improvements, familiarity with auditing and GAAP principles, and proven success using data to inform innovative approaches to financial management and operations. Additional requirements include strong people management and interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, experience engaging senior leadership to support a shared strategic vision, and a desire to be an active representative of the client within appropriate regional and national organizations and associations.
