Our client is seeking a Senior Vice President, Finance to lead the finance function and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership in a multi-entity, multi-asset real estate organization spanning development, leasing, and consumer-facing retail operations. This role is responsible for setting and executing financial strategy, overseeing planning and performance management, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to support long-term value creation. The position reports into local leadership with a dotted-line connection to functional accounting leadership overseas.
Key responsibilities include owning financial management across reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning; overseeing accounting, controllership, and internal controls across multiple legal entities; and ensuring timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. The role will lead annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles in collaboration with operations, development, and leasing teams, and provide financial insight and analysis to support leasing decisions, capital investments, and development initiatives. It also includes oversight of treasury, liquidity management, and cash forecasting, along with serving as a senior point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be expected to ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting requirements. They will build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team, while continuously improving finance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, with CPA and an MBA or equivalent professional qualification preferred; significant leadership experience in finance (such as Head of Finance or VP Finance) and prior experience in real estate, development, retail, hospitality, or similarly complex multi-entity businesses. The role requires a strong foundation in financial controls, governance, and reporting, along with proven executive partnership, stakeholder management, communication skills, and professional discretion and judgment.
