The client is seeking a Senior Vice President to provide visible, mission-driven leadership across a dynamic Northern California region. In this role, the SVP will lead a complex portfolio spanning programs, people, facilities, and community partnerships, with responsibility for ensuring the organization’s commitment to serving young people experiencing homelessness is reflected throughout the region. The position reports to the Chief Program Officer and also serves on the organization’s Executive Leadership Team, with an emphasis on strengthening culture, building trust, and providing stability following a leadership transition.
The Senior Vice President will oversee the management of programmatic and operational activities across multiple sites in the Bay Area, supporting consistent, high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a management and leadership strategy for the supervision and development of direct reports and their teams, collaborating with People & Culture and senior leadership to foster a culture of results and accountability, and serving as a Youth Protection & Safety Officer to ensure safety policies, procedures, and protocols are followed. The SVP will also act as a spokesperson for the client’s vision, strategy, and programs with staff, volunteers, donors, and key stakeholders.
The role will deepen and expand relationships with diverse funding partners, government and public partners, and community groups, while also guiding administrative and program areas at the sites. The SVP will lead the development of new residential and non-residential programs and services, collaborate with site directors and management teams to ensure consistent coverage and quality for 24/7 residential programs, and work with senior leadership to develop, manage, and monitor operational budgets for Northern California. The position is expected to support regional growth and the next chapter of impact through strategic leadership and effective operational oversight.
