Description

the client invites nominations and applications for the Senior Vice Chancellor for Business & Financial Affairs and University Treasurer. The role will serve as the client’s Chief Financial Officer and report to the Chancellor, with an independent reporting relationship to the Board of Trustees on matters relating to monitoring and control of the university budget.

The Senior Vice Chancellor will oversee accounting systems and processes, the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Provost, and financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities also include internal audit, preparation of annual audited financial statements in coordination with the external auditor, and oversight of balance sheet and treasury functions such as cash management, debt capacity and structure, rating agency relationships, fund reserve policies and use, endowment payout analysis, and working capital and cash flow planning.

The position will manage procurement of real estate, acquisition of property, and maintenance of facilities in conjunction with relevant Board of Trustees committees. The Senior Vice Chancellor will collaborate closely with financial advisors and the Board of Trustees, serve as the primary staff link to the Finance and Budget Committee and the Audit Committee, and oversee key units including the Controller’s Office, University Financial Services, Facilities Management & Planning, budget development and integration in coordination with the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, Internal Audit, and Policy Development & Management.
