Description

The Senior Equity Derivatives Counsel position at the client offers a hybrid schedule and long-term growth opportunities. The primary focus of this role is on equity derivatives, margin loans, and structured notes. The Senior Counsel will be a key member of the legal team, providing legal advice to business leaders within US Global Equities and Global Investment Banking. Responsibilities include advising on structured transactions, securities laws, regulatory frameworks, and providing legal support for the structured notes program.

The successful applicant for this position will have a JD from a US ABA accredited law school and at least 7 years of experience supporting the equity derivatives desk of an investment bank. Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is highly preferred. The candidate must have a US State Bar Admission and be solutions-oriented with a securities law mindset. Strong drafting, negotiating, and advising skills on equity derivatives and structured notes documentation are required, along with a deep understanding of securities laws ('33 Act, '34 Act) in relation to equity derivatives.
