The client is seeking a Senior Director of People and Culture to lead the development and execution of comprehensive human resources strategies, policies, and programs aligned with organizational goals. This role oversees core HR functions including compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and retention, employee relations and engagement, training, and professional development, helping to build an effective, people-centered workplace.
The Senior Director will manage the organization’s relationship with its union, including the implementation and administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), while ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The role provides leadership and direction to the HR team, fostering a high-performing, service-oriented function and strengthening day-to-day HR operations and employee support.
Reporting to and partnering with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Senior Director serves as a strategic thought partner on employee relations, union engagement, organizational development, and policy design and implementation to advance organizational priorities. In collaboration with the COO, the role also leads the implementation of the client’s diversity, inclusion, and cultural equity strategy, ensuring these principles are embedded across people practices and organizational initiatives.
