The client is seeking a Senior Director of Litigation to lead its U.S. Litigation team and set the strategic vision for nationwide litigation efforts. The role focuses on aligning litigation strategy with broader institutional goals and working closely with cross-functional leaders in Policy and Advocacy and Corporate Engagement to drive an integrated approach that secures lasting legal protections and helps prevent regression in the reproductive rights landscape.
As head of the Litigation Unit, the Senior Director is responsible for ensuring high-quality legal execution and internal coordination across a team of 27 professionals, including 23 attorneys. Core duties include overseeing case development and implementation, translating strategic goals into impactful litigation, and ensuring work is timely, coordinated, and rigorous. The Senior Director also provides unified leadership across the Unit’s internal structure, directly supervising senior leaders and fostering an inclusive, transparent, and accountable team culture.
The Senior Director will steward and grow a network of pro bono partners by collaborating with the client’s internal pro bono team and working alongside law firms and other allies to expand capacity and deepen expertise across the litigation docket. The role also includes external engagement as a visible leader and spokesperson, representing the client in courtrooms and supporting the client’s litigation visibility in relevant forums.
