The client is seeking a Senior Director of Education and Research to provide strategic leadership for a broad portfolio aligned with its mission in advancing academic internal medicine. The role is expected to oversee the Education and Research team, support organizational strategy and priorities as a member of senior management, and represent The client as a senior liaison to key stakeholders while helping develop positions and advocacy efforts on issues affecting academic internal medicine.
Primary responsibilities include setting direction for education and research priorities, guiding research and data efforts, strengthening organizational capabilities, and supporting an experienced team. The Senior Director will help contribute to organization-wide planning and execution, and will be expected to represent The client thoughtfully and professionally across the academic internal medicine community.
The role offers a hybrid work environment. Remote candidates will be considered, and there is a strong preference for candidates residing within a reasonable commuting distance of The client’s offices in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate is expected to be strategic, collaborative, and intellectually curious, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders in support of The client’s education and research goals.
