The client is seeking an empathetic, driven, resolution-oriented leader to serve as the Senior Director of Convention Sales. This role leads convention sales efforts focused on attracting and securing national and international conventions, trade shows, and other events in Orlando. The organization is a not-for-profit trade association that brands, markets, and sells the Orlando destination globally, representing a broad membership across Central Florida’s tourism community and connecting consumers and business groups with the travel industry.
In this position, the Senior Director of Convention Sales serves as the senior leader of the convention sales team, overseeing citywide strategic initiatives, day-to-day team management operations, and business development logistics. The role partners with key stakeholders across hospitality and citywide sectors to drive economic growth and community benefit while strengthening Orlando’s reputation as a premier meeting and convention destination.
The client team operates in a hybrid work environment, with work performed from home offices and designated corporate and sales office locations. This senior leadership role is expected to coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups and support business development activities that expand the destination’s event pipeline.
