The client seeks an Interim Senior Director, Fund Development to lead a collaborative, values-driven fund development function and grow support from corporate and community partnerships, corporate philanthropy, fundraising events, and individual giving. The role will work with the President and CEO to shape and align fund development strategy with organizational priorities and annual operating goals, contributing as a member of the executive leadership team.
Reporting into executive leadership, the Interim Senior Director will develop and oversee a diversified fund development portfolio, from strategy through implementation, and lead donor and partner relationship management activities including prospecting, solicitation, grant reporting, stewardship, and communicating results. The role will establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective partners and donors across the region, build a pipeline of new prospects and growth opportunities through partnerships with local businesses, corporations, and foundations, and ensure partnerships deliver shared value through clear value propositions and contract negotiations.
The position will also provide outstanding stewardship to maximize retention and engagement, oversee staff assigned to the portfolio, and collaborate on national partnership opportunities with the client’s broader network. In addition to leading signature fundraising and stewardship events on behalf of the organization, the Interim Senior Director will support governance related to fundraising by serving as lead staff support for relevant fundraising governance activities, while helping model and reinforce the client’s values and workplace culture.
