Description

The Senior Director of Employee Relations (ER) at the client is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of ER, managing and developing staff, and ensuring alignment with established goals. This role involves clarifying the direction of the ER team, prioritizing work, and managing resources effectively. The Senior Director of ER also plays a key role in maintaining systems, processes, and procedures to track cases, analyze data, and generate reports, as well as ensuring compliance with District policies, work rules, and laws related to employee conduct.

In addition to managing staff and overseeing operations, the Senior Director of ER at the client is responsible for handling investigations related to employee civil rights complaints and misconduct issues. This includes evaluating facts, conducting interviews, making findings, and facilitating resolutions. The Senior Director of ER also provides consultation and support to worksite administrators, as well as developing and providing preventative training throughout the District. Minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field, significant experience in law or employee relations, and comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.

Essential functions of the Senior Director of ER at the client include modeling excellent judgment, prioritizing work effectively, and maintaining systems and procedures in ER. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to conduct thorough investigations in accordance with laws and policies. The Senior Director of ER must also be self-motivated, able to drive change with minimal supervision, and have prior experience managing staff. Proficiency in Office 365 applications is preferred for this position.
