The client seeks a Senior Director, Executive Strategy & Initiatives to lead and operationalize the Principal’s Leadership, Influence, and Voice (LIV) strategy across multiple entities within the client’s ecosystem. This role advances large-scale, high-priority, cross-organizational initiatives designed to create opportunities for external collaboration and to increase the Principal’s impact. The position is responsible for developing the LIV strategy, managing network functions, and ensuring effective decision-making, cross-team collaboration, and successful implementation.
Key responsibilities include guiding strategic direction for the Principal’s LIV strategy and developing frameworks and processes that enable effective platform use for impact. The role will lead strategic planning, issue and network management aligned to the Principal’s priorities, and cultivate trusted relationships with stakeholders, partners, and advisors. It also manages cross-cutting workstreams such as coordinating workflow, meetings, and quarterly deliverables; conducting research on key issues, barriers, messaging, and opportunities; engaging external experts through exploratory conversations; and synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations for multiple audiences.
The Senior Director will serve as a trusted senior advisor to the Principal while driving strategic initiatives and ecosystem activation that operationalize new opportunities aligned to the Principal’s goals. The role involves designing partnerships and collaborative spaces for collective action, integrating network strategy into broader organizational priorities through cross-functional work, and maintaining network systems that support sustained connection and knowledge sharing. Additionally, the position leads a high-performing team by mentoring direct reports (including external partners and consultants), interviewing and onboarding team members, overseeing team operations and resourcing, and fostering an accountable culture that supports innovation; it will also evaluate and triage inbound requests from senior leadership and the Principal.
