Description

The client is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to help build a next-generation data and AI platform that transforms complex business and investment decision-making. This role will reimagine traditional, manual workflows—such as spreadsheet and slide-deck driven processes—into intelligent, automated systems. The position centers on designing AI-powered workflows, building agent-based systems, enabling teams to work with large-scale fragmented datasets, and delivering production-grade AI applications.

Key responsibilities include designing and building AI-powered systems to automate and enhance workflows; developing and deploying LLM-based applications and agent frameworks; translating complex business processes into scalable AI-driven solutions; building and maintaining data pipelines and related infrastructure; and integrating data across multiple systems through cloud platforms, data warehouses, and APIs. The role also involves identifying repetitive workflows and implementing automation at scale, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption and measurable impact, and focusing on delivering production-ready outcomes rather than prototypes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering and recent experience developing Generative AI/LLM applications, with prior experience that may range up to about 5–8 years depending on fit. They should be proficient in Python and have strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and data architecture, along with hands-on experience with areas such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agent-based systems. Experience selecting and evaluating models and making tradeoffs across cost, latency, and performance is expected, as is comfort working independently in ambiguous environments, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and maintaining an entrepreneurial, execution-focused builder mindset.
