Description

The client is seeking an Interim SEN Case Officer to join their team, specifically working with the Year 9+ age range. This role involves managing a caseload of annual reviews, approximately 300 in number, and amending Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans. The officer will also handle all statutory processes, communications, and queries following assessments, including annual reviews and phase transfers. This is a short-term, fully remote contract position for three to four months, requiring five days per week of commitment and is set at a daily rate of 250, inside IR35.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have a proven history of working within Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a local authority context. They must be skilled at amending plans and maintaining a caseload of annual reviews. Recognizing the complexities involved in working within a team dedicated to statutory and diverse educational needs, the role demands a solid grasp of the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Code of Practice. Experience working in similar settings, particularly in managing annual reviews and editing EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans), is essential for potential candidates.

The client values diversity and supports the development of a diverse workforce, ensuring that recruitment decisions are based solely on the experience and skills of the applicant. They emphasize equitable treatment throughout the hiring process and offer reasonable adjustments to support all applicants. Interested individuals who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply and explore the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the SEN framework.
