Description

the client is seeking a Sales Director to expand its distribution channels within the sports and luxury apparel markets. The role focuses on building long-term partnerships and growing presence across relevant retail segments, supporting the brand’s mission to empower women through performance-driven and stylish cycling apparel and athleisure. The Sales Director will help develop sales momentum for new product launches through targeted account development and strategic channel growth.

Collaborate with the President to identify distribution opportunities and establish enduring relationships with sports and specialty shops and premier department stores. Manage and maintain account relationships to support customer satisfaction and repeat business, while developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Work closely with the marketing team to create sales collateral, promotional materials, and campaigns that strengthen sales efforts, and monitor market trends to identify opportunities to expand the product line and increase revenue. Represent the brand at trade shows and other industry events.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in the sports and luxury apparel industry, along with established relationships with sports apparel retailers, specialty shops, and premier department stores—particularly within the activewear space. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, and at least eight years of sales experience with a proven track record in luxury apparel. The role also calls for excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, along with strong analytical and strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
