Description

Join a service-oriented organization with a large field-based workforce that supports commercial customers across multiple markets. In a decentralized, multi-business-unit environment, this role is focused on strengthening internal alignment, improving enterprise-wide visibility, and building consistent safety, risk, and reporting practices across field leadership and partner functions.

You will help elevate safety communication and awareness by sharing trends, lessons learned, and proactive risk messaging following incidents or emerging issues. The role also supports safety training and recurring safety events with safety leadership and third-party providers, while serving as the internal owner for claims management in partnership with third-party administrators, brokers, carriers, legal counsel, and business leaders to ensure claims are tracked, managed, and resolved. Additionally, you will oversee business insurance program administration across key coverage areas, support incident response and follow-up including root-cause awareness and mitigation efforts, assist with dispute- and litigation-related coordination, and improve enterprise visibility through reporting, dashboards, KPI tracking, and leadership-facing insights. You will also lead and support insurance renewal activities, including program reviews, data gathering, and recommendations tied to risk and claims performance.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7+ years of relevant experience spanning safety, risk, claims, and insurance program management in a complex, operationally decentralized environment. In-house experience within an operating business context is expected, with demonstrated ability to partner across operations, safety, finance, legal, brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators. Experience in route-based or multi-site organizations is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with self-insured business models and the relationship between claims, deductibles, safety standards, and insurance performance. You should be able to influence safety culture through strong communication and cross-functional engagement, maintain credibility with multiple stakeholders, and effectively coordinate claims-related work with legal counsel while managing responsibilities beyond a purely desk-based approach.
