The client is seeking a Legal Counsel to support regulatory and compliance activities related to financial services. The role will involve participating in processes for regulatory filings and ongoing maintenance under MiFID II and AIFM requirements, performing global regulatory monitoring on cryptoasset-related rules and sector developments, and conducting legal analysis to keep regulatory frameworks and guidance current.
The Legal Counsel will advise on regulatory strategy, including securing and maintaining relevant regulatory permissions and coordinating inputs across the organization to support filings and submissions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a legal counsel (typically within a 2–4 year range) and a master’s degree in law, business administration, or a related field. Skills in EU financial law (including MiFID II and AIFM, and EMD) are required, along with interest in blockchain and cryptoassets. The role also calls for strong business partnership capabilities, excellent English writing and communication skills, autonomy and adaptability, and the ability to translate legal concepts into practical business requirements; French may be a plus, and prior experience in a tech or FinTech environment is expected.
