The client is seeking a Registrar and Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization in serving and protecting the public interest in the profession of Pharmacy in Ontario. The Registrar & CEO will be responsible for establishing goals, setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring operational effectiveness within the organization. They will also oversee the regulatory requirements of the Pharmacy profession to maintain safe, professional, and ethical standards.
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 15 years of senior leadership experience in a complex multi-stakeholder healthcare setting, preferably within a regulated environment. While membership in the Pharmacy profession is not required, a master's degree in business, health administration, or a related field is preferred. The candidate should have a good understanding of healthcare issues and trends, as well as the ability to anticipate the impact of government policy decisions on the profession. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence at the executive and board levels, and effective communication with multiple audiences are essential qualities for this position.
