The client is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join their manufacturing group, which is undergoing expansion and new projects. This role involves reporting directly to the Group CFO and leading the controlling function at a group level, which includes improving internal financial controls and processes. The position entails strengthening the group's controls, policies, and governance framework while managing a diverse team both in and outside of Hong Kong. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives and providing insights to enhance financial performance and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards, supervising and mentoring the Accounting & Finance team, and identifying and mitigating financial risks. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, extensive knowledge of financial regulations, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. Language proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is essential to succeed in this international environment.
Applicants should possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 20 years of relevant experience and professional qualifications such as HKICPA or CPAA. Experience in manufacturing firms is advantageous.
