The client is seeking a Regional Partner Manager for Messaging & Commerce to support their efforts in the Greater China Region and Japan. The role requires managing two regional partnership portfolios. The manager will collaborate closely with Partner Managers to implement go-to-market strategies with key partners and help integrate them through onboarding, training, and product education. A crucial aspect of this role is to track project pipelines and partner action plans, ensuring functional coordination with teams such as Product, Engineering, and Operations to address any partner issues effectively.
In addition to maintaining and growing partnerships, the manager will be tasked with identifying new growth opportunities in both the messaging and commerce ecosystem. This responsibility includes gathering insights from partners and the market, and relaying these as actionable recommendations internally. Supporting partnership operations will involve coordinating various programs, incentives, and launch initiatives. The role demands someone with significant experience in partnerships or business development within technology sectors such as messaging, SaaS, and commerce.
The ideal candidate will possess strong execution skills, being adept at planning, tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Analytical aptitude is important, with the ability to process data, identify trends, and drive strategic actions. Effective communication and a proactive approach are essential for success. Proficiency in Mandarin and Japanese is required, with a comprehensive understanding of the demographics in these regions considered advantageous. While prior experience with platform or API integrations is preferable, confidence in interacting with senior partners is fundamental. This is a contract position with possible extension or transition to a permanent role depending on business requirements and performance.
