The client is seeking a Regional Director for Travel Retail to support and lead strategic efforts across the Americas. This role focuses on building and executing annual and long-term strategic plans for an international travel retail business operating in airports and on cruise ships. The Regional Director partners closely with the Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, helping develop and oversee corporate strategies that support growth while strengthening the business core to maintain a competitive advantage.
The Regional Director will create and implement business expansion strategies based on market analysis, including financial analysis, and will guide business development planning across the Americas region. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and execute strategic priorities through long-term business planning and performance management. The Regional Director will drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and initiating change aligned with overall business growth.
Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with stakeholders such as airports and cruise liners, and managing projects with professionalism. The role will support informed decision-making by highlighting potential risks, including when presenting to the Board as needed, and will help develop a regional innovation approach to accelerate and foster new concepts and enhance business models, potentially including pursuing investments through accelerators or alternative financial sources. Requirements include an MBA preferred, at least 7 years of relevant experience in strategy management for travel retail (or related retail or consultancy experience), and demonstrated analytical, project management, organizational, and collaboration skills in complex, fast-paced environments.
