The client is seeking a Regional Director of Ministry Partnerships (East) to oversee major donor fundraising and relationship development for an Eastern U.S. territory. This role manages a portfolio of current major donors (with annual giving thresholds of $5,000+) and a pipeline of prospective individual major donors, partnering with internal leadership and planned giving specialists to advance engagement and contribution growth.
Key responsibilities include researching donors and prospects to assess giving capacity and inclination, creating and executing individualized move-management plans that outline goals, cultivation activities, solicitation strategies and timelines, and the appropriate internal staff or board involvement. The Regional Director also presents and pursues planned giving opportunities, represents The client in donor meetings to understand philanthropic interests and alignment with the mission, and prepares meeting plans, proposals, and timely call reports while updating donor records.
The role coordinates with team members to ensure timely completion of donor communications for the assigned portfolio, may support outreach such as ministry briefings within donors’ spheres of influence, and collaborates with foundations leadership to advance foundation partnerships in the regional territory. The position may involve up to 30% travel to meet donors and attend conferences, training, and speaking engagements, and includes participation in regular staff devotions, prayer, and recurring team meetings. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a committed Christian faith, a strong dedication to evangelism and pro-life advocacy, agreement with The client’s core beliefs and values, and the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and Christian denominations; prior major-gifts experience is required.
