The client is seeking a Regional Director of Marketing & Communications to lead branding, marketing, and communications for a group of three luxury boutique hotels across the South East, covering areas from DC through Texas and Florida (including Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, and Louisiana). This new role will help build distinct property identities and drive growth in occupancy and rates, while increasing ancillary revenues tied to food & beverage, spa, and other guest activities for high-end luxury visitors.
The Regional Director will develop and implement branding and marketing strategies across public relations, social media, digital and ecommerce, customer relationship marketing, sales marketing, and guest-facing collateral. The role will also lead creation of standout content—including photography and video—to strengthen storytelling across marketing channels, and will take responsibility for writing annual marketing plans. In addition, the director will ensure communications align with each property’s positioning, and will develop strategies and partnerships, sponsorships, and unique guest experiences in collaboration with the operations team and the guest experience curator.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the Southern region and its customers, along with substantial marketing leadership experience (typically 10 to 15+ years) that may include work with luxury consumer goods or luxury consumer services. The role is best suited to an innovative, driven marketing executive with strong PR and communications experience, a nuanced understanding of luxury style and brand differentiation, and a track record of building brands and delivering measurable results (ideally at smaller independent brands). Collaboration and strong influencing skills are essential, including the ability to manage a remote team across properties, and a personal affinity for the outdoors and adventure is preferred.
