Regional Director, Architecture & Engineering is a highly visible leadership role for The client, guiding a growing architecture and engineering operation in the Southwest. The Regional Director will influence people, operations, client strategy, financial performance, project delivery, and long-term growth, with executive-level impact across the region. This position combines business leadership with the credibility to lead experienced architecture and engineering professionals, inheriting an established platform while developing leaders, strengthening capabilities, and shaping sustainable organizational growth.
The Regional Director will set strategic direction for regional architecture and engineering operations, translating broader business priorities into measurable goals for growth, execution, and team performance. Responsibilities include owning regional business results such as revenue, profitability, forecasting, utilization, staffing, resource planning, and overall operational health. The role also involves recruiting, coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing professionals, uniting multidisciplinary teams around integrated project delivery, quality standards, resource allocation, and client service, and providing executive oversight for significant projects involving delivery risks, contractual requirements, financial challenges, and complex client matters.
Additionally, the Regional Director will strengthen relationships with key clients and prospects and partner on business development activities including pursuit strategy, presentations, negotiations, and market expansion. The role supports continuous improvement through better workflows, communication, technology adoption, operational consistency, and scalable business practices, while partnering with senior leadership on strategic planning, organizational development, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is expected to bring a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 15+ years of progressive experience in architecture, engineering, multidisciplinary consulting, or a closely related professional services environment, along with leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and managing business operations, project delivery, and client relationships.
